Healthy Perspectives

Complimentary and natural medicine goes well with allopathic medicine and treatments.  Therapeutic massage goes well with physical therapy and pain management.  CranioSacral Therapy is a perfect blend with debilitating illness and recovery from surgery because it is a very gentle application of pressure that allows the body to make adjustments internally.   AromaAcupoint Therapy is perfect with trauma and addiction counseling.  It is also a wonderful treatment for children with behavioral problems and teens with cyber-addictions and games because the essential oils have a friendly and therapeutic effect, especially when gently applied to the acupoints on the body.  This is kind of like acupuncture but without the needles.

Sometimes you may think because these treatments are not covered by insurance that they don’t have validity.  In fact, these treatments are being sought after because more and more people are realizing that they feel much better after seeking out these complimentary therapies.  You don’t get an hour of time with your doctor or chiropractor.  You usually get an hour with physical therapy and you get an hour or more with your massage therapist, who is skilled in muscle therapy.  This is a great compliment to PT, chiropractic or pain management.  This is not to say that you should not go to your doctor to find out what might be causing your problem.  This does not replace medication.  But some people do not want to take certain medications for one reason or another.  A good massage therapist can adjust the time spent and the cost of the treatment to your needs.

When you have been out of sorts for a while, everything is thrown out of whack.  Body, mind, and spirit suffer because of compensatory issues.  A chronic pain in the neck can be from a misaligned hip.  A bad knee will throw off your posture, which can cause issues with your neck, back, hips and feet.  A good massage therapist knows how to stretch the body to help restore balance.

Think about a therapeutic alternative to enhance your well-being.  Nourish your body, mind and spirit and you will find that your body will find its balance and you will begin to feel so much better.

REMEMBER!  An experienced massage therapist can help you in your journey to find a more natural, peaceful and healing outcome.  We can work it out.

I have 15 years experience in healing and compassion.  Any one of the therapies that are listed will help to restore your well-being.
